Coca-Cola, Colgate and Maggi became the brands that consumers selected the most from the shelves worldwide according to the ranking Brand footprint Kantar, who is responsible for the long-term measurement of the development of large brands.
According to the consultant, the non-alcoholic beverage brand was chosen as the favorite for the seventh time in a row. Of the 424 billion elections held last year, 6,094 were for the beverage company. This means that 42.1% of households on the planet have bought Coca-Cola products.
Colgate took second place after being selected by 4.157 million people worldwide. Third place went to Maggi with 3.117 million selected products in 2019.

Kantar reviewed more than 22,900 brands in 52 different countries, accounting for 74% of the population and 85% of global gross domestic product (GDP). In this way, we were able to determine that the number of brands selected by consumers increased by 2.6% compared to 2018.
The study also highlighted the role that local brands play. In this sense, the 2020 brand footprint showed that “local brands had a stronger year in 2019 than global brands”.
