The Chinese Ministry of Health has improved its pandemic balance by registering 46 new cases of coronavirus in one day, 35 of which are local, in addition to 68 asymptomatic infections.
Most of the confirmed cases of local transmission in the country originate in Xinjiang, particularly 22, where the Uyghur Muslim minority is concentrated, and after the authorities decided to close their capital, Urumqi, due to an increase in infections. The rest, 13, were made in Liaoning Province.
Positive results from overseas patients have been confirmed in Inner Mongolia. Five cases, three in Guangdong and one in Tianjin, and in Fujian and Shandong provinces.
Authorities have kept the death toll at 4,634 and increased the number of cases to 83,830 positive cases, of which 288 continue to receive medical care, 18 of which are serious.
