The Chinese Ministry of Health has confirmed that six cases of COVID-19 were found from overseas this Friday while no locally transmitted infections were recorded.
Two of the imported cases were confirmed in Shanghai, two more in Guangdong and one in Fujian and Shaanxi. With that, China adds a total of 2,625 positive results for COVID-19 from abroad, while the accumulated number of cases in China rises to 85,174.
No deaths from the disease were recorded this Friday, so the death toll remains at 4,634.
In addition, according to the Asian country’s Ministry of Health, nine patients have been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours. A total of 80,386 people have managed to recover from COVID-19 in China.
6,800 people who were in close contact with an infected person remain under medical observation, 351 fewer than the previous day.
