China confirms eleven new COVID-19 cases, all of which have been imported

The Chinese Ministry of Health reported eleven newly imported cases of COVID-19 this Thursday, six of which were diagnosed in Shanghai, three in Guangzhou province, one in Tianjin and the other in Fujian.

The Department of Health has not registered a new death from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so the number of deaths has remained at 4,634. The number of infections has now risen to 83,057 by Wednesday.

In addition, four patients were discharged on Wednesday after their recovery, although 62 people continue to be treated for the disease. A total of 78,361 people have overcome the disease caused by the new coronavirus in China.

The number of cases imported from abroad rose to 1,797. Of these, 1,736 have recovered and 61 remain in hospital, none of them serious.
