China confirms eight newly imported cases of COVID-19 and none in Beijing

The Chinese Ministry of Health reported Tuesday that eight more cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, though none of them were in Beijing, where the most recent outbreak occurred, affecting more than 335 people, of whom fifteen were already fired.

The total amount of cases accumulated in China is 83,565. Likewise, the death toll remains at 4,634, while the number of people who have recovered has risen to 78,528 after the last ten patients who left hospitals this Monday.

Health authorities have added that 403 people are still hospitalized. Similarly, 3,940 people who have had close contact with an affected person continue to be medically observed.

According to the last eight cases from abroad, the Ministry of Health has registered a total of 1,942 imports after they have been registered in the provinces of Guangdong, Liaoning, Sichuan, Shanghai and in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia.
