China adds seven more cases of locally transmitted coronavirus in the Xinjiang region

The Chinese Ministry of Health has reported that seven other cases of locally transmitted coronavirus have been reported in the Xinjiang region after the authorities decided to close the capital, Urumqi, home of the Uyghur minority, after an increase in cases. .

In total, the Chinese health authorities confirmed eleven new cases of coronavirus nationwide on Monday. To the seven from Xinjiang, we have to add another one in Xinjiang, this time in the region’s production and construction corps, and import three. Two of the imported were discovered in Shanghai and another in Sichuan.

With the three new imported coronavirus cases, the Chinese health authorities have already discovered 2,015 cases of COVID-19 from abroad. In total, China has confirmed 83,693 infected and 4,634 deaths.
