The Chinese Ministry of Health has added 19 cases of coronavirus to its official balance in the past 24 hours, four of them from local transmission in Xinjiang, home of the Muslim Uighur minority.
The Chinese health authorities said this Sunday that the other 15 positives are being imported from abroad. five of them in Shanghai, three in Guangdong, three in Shaanxi, two in Tianjing and one in Fujian or Sichuan.
So far, mainland China has collected 84,827 positive results, 618 of which continue to receive medical care. A total of 79,575 people were made redundant and 4,634 people died from the pandemic, a number that has remained stable.
The Asian country has also reported 2,278 cases imported from abroad, of which 2,904 have been discharged and 184 have been hospitalized.
