The Chilean Ministry of Health has confirmed nearly 4,000 additional coronavirus cases this Saturday, prompting the Latin American country to treat 292,000 infections.
In particular, 3,758 cases have been identified in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 291,847 cases affected by COVID-19.
According to the health authorities, 2,951 of the new symptoms and 371 are asymptomatic. A total of 28,210 remain active. Under-Secretary of State for Public Health Paula Daza said the positive rate in Chile has reached “23 percent”.
With regard to deaths, the Chilean Ministry of Health confirmed 141 deaths this Saturday, a total of 6,192 deaths from COVID-19. 2,077 people remain in the hospital, 1,731 with mechanical ventilation and 404 in critical condition.
