The Chilean Ministry of Health increased the tentative balance of coronavirus cases this Monday to 424,274, after adding 1,764 more in the past 24 hours.
The latest report also confirms that 60 more deaths from COVID-19 causes have brought the number of deaths in the South American country to 11,652 since the pandemic began, while 930 patients remain in intensive care.
Chile, with around 16,900 active cases, faces restrictions on the national holidays on the weekend of September 18-20, for which the government has promoted the “Fondéate en tu casa” plan with the aim of avoiding the concentration of people common on these dates.
The executive has limited sessions, more precisely at addresses. “With a permission of 6 hours per day, you can meet a maximum of 5 people in addition to those who live in your house and a total of 10 people in open spaces,” the Ministry of Health made it clear after the doubts on social networks over the past few days.
