The Chilean Ministry of Health reported 2,099 new positives and 130 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, which corresponds to 333,029 infections and a total of 8,633 deaths. In any case, Health Minister Enrique Paris emphasized that the government “is aware that there may be outbreaks and we are prepared for it”.
Of the 2,099 new cases, 1,599 had symptoms, 340 are asymptomatic and 160 were not specifically reported. The bulletin also reports that 20,404 patients are considered “active” and 303,992 have recovered from the disease.
On the other hand, 1,653 people are hospitalized in intensive care units, 1,469 with mechanical ventilators and 276 in critical condition. There are 465 fans available.
“The most important thing is that we must continue to work with great strength and momentum because we are aware that there may be outbreaks and we are prepared for outbreaks,” said Paris, according to the Chilean newspaper ‘El Mercurio’.
