The Chilean Ministry of Health reported 1,415 new cases of COVID-19 this Tuesday, reaffirming the apparent containment of these past few days, even though the tentative balance of those infected since the pandemic began is 413,145.
Chile, the tenth most cases in the world, has so far recorded 11,321 deaths, 32 more than on Monday, while the number of those recovered is 385,790. Authorities estimate that there are more than 16,000 active cases in the South American country.
One of the last recorded outbreaks was confirmed by the Navy, which reported 22 infections among the crew of the frigate ‘Williams’. The facility has made it clear that all identified patients are in good condition and the tests have expanded to rule out other possible cases.
