Chile adds more than 3,000 suspected coronavirus deaths to its official balance

The Chilean Ministry of Health added 3,069 suspected coronavirus deaths to its official pandemic balance this Saturday, so the number of deaths in the country between confirmed and suspected deaths would exceed 7,000.

Ministry of Health epidemiology chief Rafael Araos said that 4,295 deaths have been confirmed by diagnostic tests in the last 24 hours, 202 more and 3,069 deaths added as suspects of COVID-19.

On Saturday, health officials reported 5,355 new cases of coronavirus, which brought the total number of infections in the country to 236,748. This is evident from the balance collected by the newspaper “La Tercera”.

In addition, authorities have indicated that 1,952 patients are in intensive care and 416 people are in critical condition due to COVID-19.
