Chainalysis announces the opening of its first office in Australia

The leader in blockchain analysis, Chain analysis, opens its first Australian office in Canberra, coinciding with the news it has partnered with Commonwealth Bank in its plans to offer cryptocurrency trading to 6.5 million app users.

Chainalysis, valued at $ 4.2 billion in its Series E funding round in June, is a blockchain data research platform founded in 2014 by Jonathan Levin and Michael Gronager.

According to the company’s 2021 cryptocurrency report, South Asia and Oceania are they are the fourth largest cryptocurrency market in the world, and represent USD 572.5 billion or 14% of the total cryptocurrency value traded between July 2020 and June 2021.

According to the message, Transaction activity in Oceania and Central and South Asia increased by 706% over the same period.

“The Pacific region is fast becoming a hub for cryptocurrency innovations”, said Todd Lenfield, manager of Chainalysis Australia and New Zealand. “Our increased investments in the region will ensure that businesses and governments can explore digital asset ecosystems in a safe and compatible manner.”

The company’s managing director for Asia Pacific, Ulisse Dell’Orto added:

“The Chainalysis data platform will strengthen the trust required to legitimize cryptocurrency as a daily good for private and institutional investors alike.”

The message comes after that Chainalysis will announce partnerships with leading Australian cryptocurrency companies CoinSpot and CoinJar in August last year.
