Britain exceeds 250,000 cases and 36,000 coronavirus deaths

The UK authorities have raised the preliminary balance of coronavirus pandemic victims to over 250,000 infected and 36,000 dead on the day the Boris Johnson government announced an agreement with a pharmaceutical company to perform antibody testing on employees’ hygiene and care.

The UK Department of Health has recorded 338 additional deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total death toll to 36,042. The total number of positives increased to 250,908 this Thursday, 2,615 more than in the previous count.

The UK executive has so far confirmed the completion of three million tests to identify possible cases of coronavirus and intends to increase this number by prioritizing the most vulnerable sectors under an agreement signed with Swiss company Roche.

A Downing Street spokesman said that there will be antibody tests that can be used to determine whether he has been exposed to the virus for anyone who “needs” it, although the service’s staff will have priority. Public Health (NHS), reports BBC.
