The UK government confirmed nearly 600 new cases of coronavirus this Tuesday and around 120 deaths on the last day. This corresponds to about 110 more deaths than on Monday in the European country.
The UK Department of Health has detailed that 581 new infections and 119 deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours, a total of 300,692 and 45,878 since the pandemic started.
He also noted that England remains the most affected region with 259,022 cases and 41,282 deaths. Scotland is behind with 18,554 cases and 2,491 deaths; Wales with 17,170 and 1,549; and Northern Ireland with 5,912 and 556 respectively.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned Tuesday that “if necessary” he will issue quarantines all summer for travelers returning to the UK coronavirus from countries where there are “signs of a second wave”, according to the measures announced in relation to Spain.
