August 9, 2020

The Brazilian Ministry of Health reported this Saturday that COVID-19 reached 3,012,412 accumulated cases, while the death toll from the disease rose to 100,477 after the last day, causing 905 more deaths.

Brazil remains the second largest country in the pandemic in the world and its epicenter is Latin America, ahead of Peru and Mexico, which affect nearly half a million.

In its last part, the Brazilian authorities confirmed 49,970 new cases and, despite the numbers, Health Minister Eduardo Pazuello insisted on highlighting above all the number of cases cured from the disease, which is already 2,094,293.
