Brazil exceeded 130,000 deaths as a result of COVID-19 this Friday, a number that was hit with more than 4.2 million confirmed cases.
In particular, according to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the Latin American country has 130,396 deaths from the disease, 874 more than the previous day.
In addition, the Brazilian health authorities increased the number of newly confirmed infections again in one day, saying that 43,718 were registered in the last 24 hours, compared with 40,000 on Thursday. In Brazil, for example, 4,282,164 million people are infected with COVID-19.
By state, Sao Paulo remains the hardest hit by the pandemic with 882,809 positive results. It is followed by Bahía with 279,509 and Minas Gerais with 246,149.
