Brazil surpassed 125,000 coronavirus deaths this Friday by adding more than 800 in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported on its official tally.
Health officials have said there have been 888 deaths, particularly on the last day, which has risen to 125,502 since the pandemic began.
Likewise, the 50,000 daily infections were again exceeded this Friday, confirming 50,163 new ones, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 4,091,801.
The Brazilian ministry has indicated that 688,056 cases are still active in the country, while more than 3.2 million people have recovered after overcoming the coronavirus.
Brazil is among the countries hardest hit by the pandemic internationally, behind the United States, which causes more than 6.1 million cases and 187,000 deaths.
