Brazil registers more than 45,000 cases of coronavirus in one day and reaches 2.7 million infections

The Brazilian Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that the country had registered more than 45,000 cases of coronavirus on the last day, with which it has reached 2.7 million infections.

According to the latest health authorities, Brazil has had a total of 2,707,877 positive results since the pandemic started, 45,392 of them in the last 24 hours.

Regarding the number of deaths, the ministry said the country had 93,563 deaths, with 1,088 deaths confirmed on the last day.

In addition, a total of 1,865,729 people have recovered after overcoming the coronavirus in Brazil. The authorities have highlighted that the number of cases restored is higher than the number of active cases (748,585 as of this Saturday).

Brazil is the second largest country in the world after the United States, which, according to Johns Hopkins University, has 4.6 million infections and more than 154,000 deaths.
