Brazil reaches 1.3 million cases of coronavirus and exceeds 57,000 deaths

Brazil reached 1.3 million cases of coronavirus in the country this Saturday, and has recorded more than 57,000 pandemic deaths according to the latest balance offered by the Ministry of Health.

The agency has reported that COVID-19 has achieved 1,313,667 positive results by adding 38,693 new infections. This Saturday, the authorities added 1,109 more deaths that left 57,070 people dead in Brazil due to the pandemic.

Health officials have said that a total of 715,905 people in Brazil have recovered after overcoming the coronavirus.

The state of Sao Paulo remains the most affected by the pandemic. According to Agencia Brasil, 9,921 more infections have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, and a total of 258,508 positive infections and more than 13,000 deaths have been identified since the pandemic started.
