Brazil is nearing 60,000 deaths after registering nearly 1,300 on the last day

The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that 1,280 new deaths have been recorded, meaning that a total of 59,594 people have died from COVID-19 in the country.

Similarly, health authorities have indicated that after the 33,846 on the last day, 1,402,041 cases have already accumulated, of which 790,040 correspond to patients who have already managed to overcome the disease.

The Media Alliance figures, in turn, have resulted in 1,408,485 accumulated cases and 59,656 deaths after taking into account data from the state health secretariats.

The state of Sao Paulo has returned to record deaths. This time there were 365 and 6,235 new cases in the last 24 hours. A total of 14,763 people have died, while 281,380 have contracted the disease.
