Brazil borders 2.8 million cases of coronavirus after nearly 26,000 new cases have been registered in the past 24 hours. More than 94,000 deaths have been confirmed by COVID-19.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the Latin American country has had 2,733,677 positive results so far. 25,800 of these have been verified in the last 24 hours.
As of the deceased, the Brazilian health authorities registered 541 this Sunday, which has increased the worldwide number to 94,104.
The Brazilian state most affected by the pandemic is Sao Paulo with 558,685 coronavirus cases, 6,367 of which have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. Then there are Ceará with 176,580 – 652 additional – and Bahia with 170,476 – 1,550 new -.
The Brazilian health authorities have also emphasized that 1,883,677 people in the country have been cured of COVID-19 so far. According to the Ministry of Health, this number is higher than that of the still active cases (748,585).
