The Brazilian Ministry of Health this Thursday reported the deaths of 139,808 people from COVID-19 since the health crisis erupted last March. Add to this the 831 deaths that were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The number of accumulated cases has risen to 4,657,702, of which 4,023,789 represent people who have managed to overcome the disease caused by the new coronavirus. The last part of the authorities counted 32,817 more infections.
On the flip side, the state of Sao Paulo continues to add new infections and has already had 958,240 and 34,677 deaths. Like Rio de Janeiro with 257,985 confirmed infections and 18,037 deaths.
Likewise, the state of Bahia in northeast Brazil is currently one of the main centers of the pandemic, with 301,248 positive and 6,455 deaths.
