The Brazilian Ministry of Health has confirmed more than 28,000 new cases of coronavirus and 900 deaths in the past 24 hours this Saturday, according to the organism’s latest record.
With 28,532 cases and 921 deaths this Saturday, the country has had 2,074,860 positive results since the pandemic started, and a total of 78,772 people have died from COVID-19.
Health officials have also said that a total of 1,342,362 people have recovered after overcoming the disease.
The ministry has indicated that the most affected region so far is the Southeast, with 708,263 cases. followed by the northeast region with 693,028 positive results. The region north lies behind with 349,967; the Midwest at 170,671; and the south with 152,931.
