Brazil has 27,800 coronavirus deaths and outperforms Spain in deaths

Brazil had 27,878 deaths from coronavirus on Friday, surpassing the number of deaths in Spain. This makes Brazil the fifth country most affected by the pandemic deaths internationally.

According to the balance of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the Latin American country has registered 1,124 further deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 26,928 new infections rose to 465,166, which is a new record of positive results in a single day.

Sao Paulo remains the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, with 7,275 deaths on Friday and 101,556 infections totaling the highest number of coronavirus deaths. Behind him is Rio de Janeiro with 47,953 confirmed cases and 5,079 deaths, as reported by Agencia Brasil.

In this way, and according to Johns Hopkins University, Brazil has established itself as the fifth country with the highest number of corona virus deaths worldwide, surpassing Spain, which has so far confirmed 27,121 deaths.

First, the United States remains with more than 102,000 deaths; United Kingdom with 38,243; and Italy and France with more than 33,000 and 28,000 deaths, respectively.
