The Brazilian Ministry of Health this Sunday reported the deaths of an additional 620 people from the COVID-19 disease, a number well below the more than a thousand deaths recorded over the weekend of the week.
The total number of deaths in Brazil is 107,852, according to the latest tally by health officials, which set the number of accumulated cases at 3,340,197 after registering 23,101 on Sunday.
To date, 2,432,456 people have managed to overcome the disease while another 799,889 remain under medical supervision.
The state of Sao Paulo remains the epicenter of the pandemic, although the progression of the disease has slowed in recent years. This also shows that the lowest average ICU bed occupancy was recorded over the weekend, 57.8 percent since the health crisis began.
