Brazil has surpassed 70,000 coronavirus deaths this Friday, confirming 1,214 more deaths in the past 24 hours, and exceeded 1.8 million infections, according to the latest health ministry report.
In particular, the country has reached 70,398 COVID-19 deaths and added 45,048 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 1,800,827.
In addition, the health agency has reported that a total of 1,078,763 people have recovered after overcoming the coronavirus.
The media alliance, created a month ago to address the lack of transparency in the numbers offered by the Brazilian government, has registered a larger number of cases and deaths than those offered by official authorities.
In particular, it was reported that 1,270 coronavirus deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours, equivalent to 70,524 deaths worldwide. The number of positives was increased by 45,325 new ones on the last day, bringing the number of infections to 1,804,338.
