The Brazilian Ministry of Health reviewed more than 40,000 new cases of COVID-19 this Thursday, compared to the 35,000 diagnosed the previous day.
In particular, according to the Brazilian health authorities, another 40,557 positives have been registered, bringing the country’s global number to 4,238,446. On Tuesday the number of new COVID-19 cases was 14,000 and on Monday 10,000.
Sao Paulo is the state hardest hit by the pandemic in Brazil with 874,754 cases. It is followed by Bahía with 277,327 and Minas Gerais with 242,533.
In addition, 983 deaths from COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, bringing Brazil to 129,522 deaths from the disease.
The Brazilian Ministry of Health has highlighted 3,497,337 people have managed to recover from COVID-19 in the country, a number higher than the number of still active cases (611,587).
