The Brazilian health authorities recorded more than 1,400 deaths as a result of COVID-19 this Wednesday. This is the highest number that has been confirmed in the last month.
In particular, the data released by the Ministry of Health of the Latin American country shows that 1,437 deaths have been recorded from the disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the global number to 97,256.
In addition, health officials have announced that 57,152 new infections were diagnosed on the last day, bringing the number of COVID-19 cases to 2,859,073 in Brazil.
By state, Sao Paulo has the most coronavirus cases with the highest number of cases, after another 15,371 were confirmed. It is followed by Ceará with 179,341 and Bahía with 175,389.
