Boris Johnson is under investigation to fund his 2019 Caribbean vacation

The UK Parliament’s Enforcement Body is investigating Prime Minister Boris Johnson for allegedly illegally funding his holiday in the Caribbean for Christmas 2019.

Johnson and his partner visited the island of Mustique in the new year 2020, about which the British media, according to the agency Bloomberg, expressed doubts as to whether the payments were correctly recorded.

That way, Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, Kathryn Stone, will be responsible for clarifying whether the payments were being made legally, as Johnson assured him that he had received £ 15,000 worth of housing from businessman David Ross.

However, Ross asserted that he had not provided any money to travel to Mustique, a private island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, although he later made it clear that he had “facilitated” the prime minister’s accommodation.
