The President of the United States, Donald Trump, went to the Supreme Court this Thursday to pay tribute to the late Judge Ruth Baber Ginsburg on a brief visit marked by the shouts against the President outside the doors of Justice HQ.
“Agree that he goes!” Some of the people who were near the Supreme Court where Ginsburg’s remains were found yelled for citizens and authorities to show their respect, NBC News reports. The coffin remains in the outer portico to prevent people from gathering in the courtyard.
Trump came with his wife and they were both at the coffin for less than a minute at which point the screams occurred. Immediately afterwards, the presidential convoy returned to the White House.
Ginsburg’s death due to the advancing flow sparked political debate in the United States over Trump’s urgency to appoint a new judge ahead of the November election to ensure a conservative judge takes the position that has become vacant.
The president will name his candidate on Saturday – he himself has said it will be a woman – and the Republican Party has already guaranteed the necessary votes in the Senate for the candidacy to be put to vote at least in plenary. the House of Lords.
