Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has seen “good health development”, but he still has coronavirus, as confirmed by the most recent diagnostic test he has undergone.
“The test carried out on July 21 gave a positive result,” the Planalto Palace announced in a short statement. At the same time, he pointed out that “the president is pursuing a good health development and is being accompanied by the medical team of the presidency of the republic”.
Bolsonaro announced on July 7 that it had signed COVID-19. Since then, he has worked from the official residence of the Alvorada Palace without participating in public events.
This is the sixth coronavirus test to be performed since the pandemic broke out: three before positive confirmation and three after, including the latter. Bolsonaro had announced that he would travel to the Brazilian state of Piauí on Friday if he tested negative.
