Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced on Saturday that the last coronavirus test done three weeks after he was told he contracted the disease had had a negative result.
“RT-PCR for Sars-Cov 2: negative. Good morning for everyone,” the president announced on his Twitter account.
Bolsonaro, who was always skeptical of the preventive measures recommended by experts to prevent COVID-19 infections, began to feel symptoms of the disease on Sunday, July 5. The symptoms worsened the next day when she had a fever and malaise.
On July 16, Bolsonaro reported that he had returned positive for a coronavirus test more than a week after his doctors first discovered the disease in his body.
