Bolivia has exceeded 90,000 cases of coronavirus after registering more than 1,600 cases in the past few hours. This confirms the upward trend of the pandemic in the Andes, as reported by the Ministry of Health.
Health officials have indicated that an additional 1,636 infections and 72 deaths were recorded in those 24 hours, representing 91,635 infected and 3,712 deaths.
In addition, they have indicated that of the total confirmed cases, 57,100 are still active while 30,823 patients have overcome COVID-19. They are also keeping 14,602 suspected cases under surveillance.
By region, Santa Cruz is still hardest hit with 37,392 positive results, followed by La Paz (22,322), Cochabamba (10,722), Beni (5,836), Tarija (4,779), Oruro (4,150), Chuquisaca (2,837) and Potosí (1,941 ) and Pando (1.656).
