Bolivia tops 110,000 cases of coronavirus after adding nearly a thousand in the last day

The Bolivian Ministry of Health has confirmed these 110,148 accumulated cases of COVID-19 after adding 999 additional infections, while authorities have not yet dared to predict when the pandemic will peak.

The death toll in the past 24 hours is 69, which means 4,578 people have died from the new coronavirus in Bolivia since the health crisis was enacted five months ago.

The balance sheet shows that 47,050 people managed to conquer the disease, which is 43 percent of all cases of infection.

Although the eastern part of the country has recorded the most accumulated cases with 39,437 cases, Santa Cruz in particular, the latest data shows a stabilization of the situation with slight decreases in contrast to the western part, where in departments like La Paz (28,935) the increases are taking place to. or Cochabamba, 11,956.

Amid a severe political and social crisis, Bolivia was in strict confinement with almost total paralysis of its activities until May 31, only to move into dynamic quarantine from June, ending this month.
