The Bolivian health authorities reported this Wednesday that they have reviewed more than a thousand new cases of COVID-19 after 12 days of registering fewer than a thousand daily infections.
The balance offered by the Andean Ministry of Health shows that 1,037 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, bringing the number of people infected worldwide to 123,345.
Santa Cruz remains the Bolivian division hardest hit by the pandemic, with 41,430 infections. This is followed by La Paz with 32,565 and Cochabamba with 12,721.
In terms of deaths, health officials have registered 49 new ones, bringing the total to 7,146 deaths from the disease in Bolivia.
According to the Bolivian Ministry of Health, 77,216 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Latin American country. However, 38,983 cases are still active.
