The Bolivian Ministry of Health confirmed a new peak in the pandemic this Wednesday by counting 2,031 new infections in the last 24 hours, for which there have already been 105,050 cases of coronavirus in the Andean nation since the outbreak of the health crisis.
The death toll is already 4,233 after 61 people added this Wednesday, with Santa Cruz and La Paz being the hardest hit departments.
Of the more than two thousand new cases, 805 were registered in La Paz, where there has been an increase in infections in recent days.
Currently, 27,100 positives are diagnosed in this region of western Bolivia behind Santa Cruz, which totals 38,862, although the trend is downward.
So far 39,965 people have been rescued, there are 13,613 suspected cases and 60,852 are active.
