Bolivia registered more than 1,600 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, so the Andean nation has already exceeded 50,000 infections after the first positive was confirmed in March.
In particular, according to the Bolivian Ministry of Health, 1,617 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. So the global one is at 50,867.
Most new cases focus on Santa Cruz, where a total of 864 cases have been reported. Santa Cruz is the most affected by the pandemic in Bolivia, with 26,124 cases of coronavirus.
La Paz has registered 278 of the additional cases found this Tuesday and is now 7,402. After Santa Cruz and La Paz, Cochabamba is the third division in which most cases of coronavirus accumulate, a total of 5,468. On the other hand, Potosí is the only one of the Bolivian regions that does not reach 1,000 cases since there are 969.
