Bolivia has had the highest infection peak with almost 2,000 infections in the last 24 hours

Bolivia has had the highest infection high since the pandemic started this Thursday, nearly 2,000 new cases in the past 24 hours.

In particular, the Bolivian Ministry of Health has reported that 1,938 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, so the overall balance in the Andean nation has achieved 54,156 positive results.

In addition, more than half of the new cases, 1,073 in total, were diagnosed in Santa Cruz, the Bolivian region most affected by the pandemic, where 27,744 cases occur.

After Santa Cruz, the majority of new infections were registered in La Paz, also after Santa Cruz in the ranking of the most affected departments. So far, it has confirmed 7,976. The third area most affected by the Cochabamba pandemic, with 5,926 cases.

On the other hand, the Bolivian health authorities have reported that the death toll from COVID-19 in the Andean country increased until 1984 after 42 more deaths were confirmed. Most additional deaths were concentrated in Cochabamba, a total of 15.
