The Bolivian health authorities reported this Friday that a record 977 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the last 24 hours, so the Andean country has already reached 22,476 infections.
“Today, all departments have reported cases, and all with a significant increase,” said Virgilio Prieto, head of the Department of Epidemiology at the Bolivian Department of Health.
In particular, Santa Cruz has registered 551 additional cases; Beni, 147; Cochabamba, 123; La Paz, 83 new cases; Oruro, 16; Pando, 16; Tarija, 15 cases; and finally Chuquisaca, 11.
With this data, Santa Cruz remains the department most affected by the coronavirus in Bolivia, as a total of 13,539 infections occur. Beni follows with 3,473; Cochabamba at 2,302; La Paz, 1,469 cases; Oruro, 459; Pando, 425; Potosí, 407; Tarija with 206 cases; and finally Chuquisaca, who registered 196.
