Bolivia has exceeded 68,000 coronavirus cases this Saturday, and the La Paz Ministry has broken a record of infections by adding 1,098 new positives in the past 24 hours.
The Bolivian Ministry of Health has reported that 1,825 more infections have been confirmed on the last day, increasing the number of cases in the country to 68,281.
Authorities have indicated that 62 other people have died, of whom a total of 2,535 have lost their lives due to COVID-19. As of this Saturday, there were 44,795 active cases in Bolivia and 20,951 people have recovered after overcoming the disease in the country.
With 31,138 infections, Santa Cruz remains the Bolivian region most affected by the pandemic. This is followed by La Paz with 13,371 and Cochabamba with 7,420.
