The Bolivian Ministry of Health reported this Wednesday that the country has had the highest number of deaths from COVID-19 since the pandemic began, 88 deaths that have increased the balance to 2,808 deaths.
According to the Bolivian health authorities, most deaths were concentrated in the departments of Santa Cruz and La Paz, in which 29 and 28 were registered.
In addition, the Andean Ministry of Health has reported that 1,207 new COVID-19 positives have been verified in the last 24 hours. So far, Bolivia has accumulated 73,534 infected people.
Santa Cruz, the Bolivian department most affected by the pandemic, has concentrated most of the additional infections (466), according to the Bolivian news agency ABI. La Paz has followed with 364 others in the last 24 hours. So far, these departments have confirmed 33,550 and 14,982 infected people.
