Bolivia has once again surpassed its record of deaths from COVID-19 registered within 24 hours this Sunday, while it has exceeded the 80,000 infection mark, according to the latest data from the Andean Ministry of Health.
In particular, Bolivia added 89 new deaths, bringing the global number to 3,153. The Latin American nation also has 80,153 infected people with the 1,360 new infections discovered.
The department of La Paz has again concentrated the most new infections (398). Santa Cruz (234) and Tarija (230) follow. However, Santa Cruz has since been the most affected by the pandemic in Bolivia, which has 34,972 cases in total. Behind them are La Paz and Cochabamba with 16,823 and 9,626 respectively.
The Bolivian Ministry of Health said 52,844 cases are still active while people have recovered from COVID-19 number 24,156.
