Bolivia adds nearly 1,700 new cases and maintains the upward trend in infections

The Bolivian Ministry of Health has registered 1,693 new infections with the new coronavirus in the last few hours, the majority in the La Paz department, bringing the total to 93,328.

Health officials have reported 49 new deaths, meaning 3,761 people have died in Bolivia since the health crisis began.

In those 24 hours, La Paz added 586 new cases, bringing the disease to 22,908 people in that department, although Santa Cruz remains the most affected area by the pandemic with 37,599 confirmed cases and 18 deaths. Cochabamba is the third most affected area with 10,845 accumulated cases and five deaths.

The part offered by the ministry highlighted that in the 93,328 accumulated cases, 57,814 are still active, while 31,753 people managed to overcome the disease.
