Boliva adds nearly 1,000 more infections and tops 125,000 cases of COVID-19

Bolivia added nearly 1,000 new infections this Friday. According to the health ministry, the country now has more than 125,000 cases of the new coronavirus, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

A total of 967 infections were registered in the last 24 hours, corresponding to 125,172 cases, of which 36,682 are active and 81,240 are recovered patients.

In addition, there have been 57 other deaths, adding 7,250 deaths since the pandemic began, according to state agency ABI.

The Santa Cruz department is still the most affected with 41,653 cases, followed by La Paz with 32,950, Cochabamba (12,889), Tarija (9,845), Beni (6,933), Potosí (7,166), Chuquisaca (6,019) and Oruro ( 5,359) and Pando (2,358).
