A Tunisian court sentenced a blogger to six months in prison on Tuesday for posting a handwashing message related to the Corona virus, similar to a verse in the Koran on her Facebook account, and receiving criticism from conservative sectors. in the country.

The woman, Emna Chargui, was also fined 2,000 Tunisian dinars (approx. 625 euros) after being convicted of “inciting hatred between religions” and “attacking holy and good manners”.

The verdict was immediately contested by his lawyers, according to the Tunisian radio station Mosaique FM. Chargui’s message had previously been published in numerous reports and was also after his arrest.
