The company said writers and journalists can use SharpShark to detect plagiarism, prevent copyright infringement, and create a portfolio from their intellectual property. Kailin O’Donnell, co-founder and general partner of NEM Ventures, added:

“Existing timestamp solutions are inadequate and copyright deposits are extremely expensive. SharpShark’s digital timestamp service records artwork with the aim of protecting the moral rights of authors in their work by exposing plagiarism and copyright infringement. “
