One question that I have gotten multiple times is “Where can I actually spend my Bitcoin if I buy some?” This is an incredibly insightful question and should be discussed more!

Bitcoin Futures have been started and, with this development, institutional money has joined the cryptocurrency marketplace! So much mass media publicity has been surrounding the crypto community lately and many new adopters are buying into Bitcoin with hopes of getting some exponential gains like have been seen in the recent past for many cryptocoin investors.

The benefit to us cryptocoiners is that now we are able to start buying more products and services with our coins that we weren’t able to before. Before, we had to cash them out to fiat currency before we could pay bills or rent hotel rooms.

Not anymore!

#1: University Tuition

I have to admit that this one surprised me but you can pay for classes at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Not all of you may want to take classes at this particular University but this opens the door for more educational institutions to offer this same option.

#2: Gyft

Purchase gift cards for anyone on your shopping list from this site using Bitcoin. There’s many big brand names like Domino’s and Rainforest Café.

# Funerals

Apparently you can now pay for a funeral at a funeral home in St. Paul, Minnesota. And supposedly you get a 3% discount if you pay in Bitcoin. Weird, right?

#4 Beer

Some bars in Sydney, Australia started accepting Bitcoinpayments in 2013, if they kept those coins from 2013 I bet they are very happy right now!

#5 Real Estate

Some real estate firms are allowing large purchases for properties with Bitcoin and apartment rental offices are starting to offer rent payments or deposits to be paid in Bitcoin using services like BitPay.

#6 Emergency Food Rations

I have friends and family members that could be considered “preppers” and they have excitedly purchased some food rations via Bitcoin on Of course there are many options that can be purchased on like furniture and clothing as well. as a whole supports purchases with Bitcoin.

#7 Cars

Tesla has allowed the purchase of some of their models with Bitcoin, but Elon Musk has always been one for innovation and why wouldn’t he allowpayments with Bitcoin, right?

#8 Fast Food

Some Subway locations have been rumored to accept payment via Bitcoin. I don’t eat out much so I have not checked my local Subway yet to see if they offer this option. And some Burger King locations internationally have started to accept Bitcoin in exchange for a Whopper and some even offer buy 1 get 1 free if you pay with cryptocurrency.

#9 Cab Rides

Some cab companies in major cities around the world are now accepting Bitcoin as payment in exchange for services rendered.

#10 Currency

Everyone knows that you can exchange cryptocoins for fiat currency like US dollars but did you know that you can also use Bitcoin to buy gold, silver, and other precious metals?

#11 Travel!

This is my favorite one, if you want the truth. Because who doesn’t want to go on vacation to somewhere tropical and warm, especially when you can make money while you’re sleeping with the current rise of Bitcoin. Check out and CheapAir.

The best part about the newness of crypto is that even with the new influx of money there are still so many people that don’t know about it yet and have never even heard of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Think about how many businesses are going to offer the option of purchasing with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the near future. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out.
