Birmingham police on Tuesday accused the 27-year-old man of being arrested for stabbing the British city on Sunday, which left one dead and seven wounded.
The person identified as Zephaniah McLeod faces seven charges of attempted murder for the events, according to a statement released by West Midlands Police. McLeod will appear in court in Birmingham on Wednesday.
Police added that the deceased is Jacob Billington, 23, who died after the attack on Irving Street. Billington and some friends from Liverpool were visiting one of them who is studying in Birmingham.
In addition, another 23-year-old man, who was also seriously injured on Irving Street, is still being hospitalized in severe condition. Another 22-year-old woman attacked on Hurst Street is critical but stable in the hospital. On the other hand, another man at the age of 30 is also admitted while the other four wounded were released.
