CEO Changpeng Zhao, or CZ, known for his social media leadership of cryptocurrency giant Binance, said he disabled Twitter comments in his posts to kill fraudsters.
“To respond better and participate,” CZ said to Cointelegraph This partially disabled the ability for the public to comment on your tweets. “This is a new Twitter feature,” said CZ on June 11th. “It seems that it has only spread to a small percentage of people.”
Social media is vital for the crypto space
As an industry mainly based on digital technologies, a large part of the cryptocurrency and blockchain community interacts daily on various social media platforms such as Twitter. CZ continues to be heavily featured on Twitter, spending almost 20% of its time interacting with the community on the platform.
Given Twitter’s new option, CZ was pleased to test new features. Describes himself as one of the first to adopt it, hence his most recent experiment with setting to disable comments.
Twitter sometimes offers a difficult environment
“Twitter is not a perfect platform at all,” said CZ. Note that scammers, trolls and the like can hinder real community interaction on the platform.
“For clarification, my intention to use the new” people you can reply to “feature is not to shorten people’s opinions,” said CZ. “I greet people to express their feelings and they challenge me or our services so that we can get better.”
CZ said he wants the community to continue suggesting Twitter accounts that are worth tracking. “There are so many great voices in the crypto space that I hope to capture more.”
